Serving – an expression of love and gratitude
Scripture encourages us to respond to what God has done for us in Jesus Christ by serving him as part of his church. When a person becomes a Christian, they are encouraged to discover and use the gifts and abilities God has given to them for service:
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” (Romans 12:4-8)
Talk to us about your gifts and abilities
At Bodmin Community Church there are many opportunities to support the various ministries of the church, both within the context of Sunday worship and during the week’s meetings and ministries.
If you believe that God is nudging you toward serving in some capacity then please let us know so that we can explore your potential together.
Those believing they have a prophetic gifting from the Lord are strongly encouraged to view our Policy on Directional Prophecy before exercising this gift during meetings.
Tell us what’s on your heart by using the Contact form on this site and we’ll see how we can help you to help others.
